Michael J. Cohen is a business law attorney whose practice focuses on corporate governance and commercial matters for emerging companies preparing for venture capital financing, as well as public and private mergers and acquisitions, debt financings, securities law and general corporate law matters.
Prior to co-founding VC Ready Law Group, Michael was a business law attorney with the Boston office of a prominent national law firm. Michael has also practiced business law in the Toronto office of a prominent Canadian law firm, and is skilled in dealing with the complex legal and business issues that can arise in cross-border business activities and transactions.
Michael received a Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics (with Distinction) from McGill University. He is admitted to practice law in Massachusetts, New York and the Province of Ontario, Canada.
Born and raised in the Boston area, Michael is a lifelong Red Sox fan, and has traveled to see his favorite team in various cities, including Montreal, Toronto and Anaheim.

Ben Hron is a business law attorney whose practice focuses on advising private companies, most in the life sciences and information technology industries, on general corporate matters, angel and venture capital financing, mergers and acquisitions, securities law compliance, strategic collaborations and technology licensing. Ben has also represented several venture capital firms in connection with their investments in portfolio companies.
Prior to co-founding VC Ready Law Group, Ben worked as a business law attorney at two prominent Boston law firms.
Ben received a Juris Doctor from Harvard and a Bachelor of Arts (magna cum laude) in Biology and Political Science from Carleton College. He is admitted to practice law in Massachusetts.
In his spare time Ben can sometimes be found salsa dancing or playing tennis around Boston. He also enjoys cooking, competitive chess and traveling to new countries, and he is a certified SCUBA diver.
